Preschoolers are invited to join the Schechter family by becoming members of PALS (Preschoolers And Little Siblings). Schechter offers monthly PALS programs, which range from storytelling to crafts to tzedakah activities to holiday parties. Some programs are geared toward 3 and 4 year-olds, others are open to the entire family. Some are on weekdays and others on Sundays.

Good fun was had by all as we celebrated Israel's birthday with Israeli music and dancing! Children had their picture taken riding a camel, relaxing in the Dead Sea, or browsing through an Israeli marketplace. Parents and kids made birthday crowns to add to the festive atmosphere. And, of course, everyone enjoyed some fabulous birthday cake before the afternoon came to an end.

Drumlin Farm visited PALS
January 2009
Two residents of Drumlin Farm visited PALS in January, alternately making a splash, but not a stink! First, a green-headed mallard duck repeatedly demonstrated for young preschoolers how water rolls right off his back when he gets wet. Next, a roly-poly skunk proved to be a very charming guest as he nibbled on leaves and berries with no threat of spraying his audience! Children enjoyed this educational program on how animals survive in the winter as they search for food and try to stay warm.
