PALS Book Club
Parents and preschoolers are invited to sit together and listen to short, engaging children's books followed by an age-appropriate discussion about the stories. We'll end with a fun-filled, hands-on project related to the book. Come to one or all book club meetings! For full description: November 3, January 26, June 10

Fall Festival
Say hello to fall with a lively concert presented by well-known children’s songster, Rick Goldin. Enjoy all the fun fall brings: apples, school, Rosh Hashanah, pretty leaves and your PALS!

Sunday, October 18, 10:00-11:30 am
Pumpernickel Puppets
Tales and more tails abound as Pumpernickel Puppets presents two animal shows, The Three Billy Goats Gruff and The Lion & the Mouse! Children will delight in these classic stories brought to life by large and lovable puppets.

Dino Adventures
You won’t have to dig too far to uncover a "massively" entertaining and educational program on dinosaurs, our Paleolithic pals! Amateur excavators can touch fossils and dinosaur relics as well as meet live animals who remind us of extinct dinosaurs.

PALS Book Club: B is for Book!
We'll make our way through the ABCs with a whole year of Jewish holidays in P is for Passover by Tanya Lee Stone. Next we'll meet a baby bear who hasn't learned his alphabet yet, but already loves books and wants to hear stories from morning 'til night in Baby Bear's Books by Jane Yolen.

Big Joe the Storyteller
Gallop off into a magical land of knights and princesses with Big Joe the Storyteller's animated and captivating stories. Come dressed for the part as Big Joe invites children to join in the storytelling action!

Happy Hanukkah Hour
Light up your afternoon with a festive Hanukkah bash! Dreidls and latkes combine with crafts and games for lots of holiday fun!

Saturday, January 9, 6:30-8:00 pm
Havdalah Movie Night
Roll out the red carpet for a PALS Havdalah celebration and movie night. Join the PALS community for a warm and lovely Havdalah candle lighting. Then, we'll serve up a short family-friendly flick and buckets of popcorn!

PALS Book Club: Fridays are Special
In The Shabbat Box by Leslie Simpson, young Ira waits longingly for his Friday to take home the classroom’s velvet Shabbat box. Fridays are the best day of the week for another youngster as well who looks forward to special activities with his father in Every Friday by Dan Yaccarino.

Purim Party with Mike the Hatman
Hats, hats and more hats! Silly songs and one wacky hat after another combine to make Mike the Hatman a laugh-out-loud, surprise-filled experience. Come dressed in your favorite Purim costume and join in the fun!

Thursday, March 4, 9:00-10:30 am
Tropical Luau
Aloha! Enjoy a taste of paradise with a beautiful and educational performance by the Hula Aloha Dancers who will perform traditional Polynesian dances and stories. There will be colorful leis for everyone and children will have a chance to learn Hawaiian words, use poi balls and dance a simple hula!

Happy Birthday, Israel!
You are invited to a Yom HaAtzma'ut birthday party! Crafts and cake, singing and dancing…what better way to celebrate? (Oh, and a pretend camel is one of the guests!)

PALS Olympiad
Calling all Olympic hopefuls for an energetic mix of sports, games and races. Everyone crosses the finish line a winner. Don't miss the triumphant medal ceremony at the end!

Thursday, June 10, 1:30-2:30 pm
PALS Book Club: Busy Bees
When a small bee stings the nose of the great King Solomon in King Solomon and the Bee by Dalia Hardof Renberg, everybody learns about the value of a promise. The Beeman by Laurie Krebs teaches us about beekeeping season, honey and the sweet bond between a grandchild and grandfather.
