Choosing an education for your child and a community for your whole family is big!

It’s a journey and a process full of emotion and possibility and, of course, a lot of moving parts. In many ways, the Office of Admission is the concierge of the school. You will see right away that we are here to help and that we love doing what we do.

We relish the relationships we build with families as we come to life before each other. We are eager to learn about your family, what makes your child tick and what you dream for your child. We will show you what life is like at Schechter and why we are Boston’s engaging, dynamic, happy, inspiring, thoughtful, elevating Jewish day school.

Before walking you through the halls and classrooms on a tour or through the steps in the application process, we are often your very first “name and face” at school. If you want to speak to a member of our educational team and drill down on a particular subject or our educational philosophy, we will connect you. Perhaps it will help you to speak to a current parent in your child’s grade, a family who transferred to Schechter or a family who also speaks Spanish at home. We will make those introductions. If you need to learn more about security or afterschool programs, we will arrange for our colleagues to reach out to you.

Ultimately, our goals are the same as yours. We want your child to love coming to school, to feel buoyed by teachers, learning and friends. We want your child to ask great questions and have strong foundational academic skills that will be of service through Schechter, high school, college and beyond. We want your child to develop a Jewish identity that is filled with purpose and meaning. We want you to feel at home and be part of the beautiful breadth of families, learners and people who call Schechter home.

We look forward to meeting you!
