Protecting Our Community

At Schechter, health and safety are shared responsibilities—supported by clear communication, trusted professionals, and policies rooted in care and inclusion.

We keep families informed about wellness protocols and campus updates, and our facilities team works daily to maintain clean, safe learning environments. Our approach includes both physical safety and emotional wellbeing, from our anti-bullying policy to community standards that reflect our values.

Here’s how it all comes together:

Nurses’ Office

Full-time nurses are present on both campuses and communicate directly with families about medical needs, including allergies. Allergy awareness is reinforced with posted lists in classrooms and lunch spaces.

School Physician

A current parent who is a practicing pediatrician volunteers as our school physician, offering guidance as part of our advisory team.

Wellness & Inclusion

Schechter upholds a zero-tolerance policy for bullying, racism, and discrimination. We actively welcome and affirm LGBTQ students, families, faculty, and staff—ensuring every community member feels respected and included.

Food Policy

Schechter is a nut-free, kosher school. All food from home must be dairy or pareve, and all meals served at school—catered or otherwise—meet kosher standards

Security

Security is managed by Omnium, with 4–5 guards on duty across both campuses. Guards monitor camera systems, walk the grounds, and support students during outdoor time. All adults wear ID badges, and visitors are screened before entry.
