An Afterschool Program That Fits Your Family’s Schedule
Our afterschool program is designed with children at the center. We focus on nurturing each child's curiosity, creativity and sense of belonging. Every afternoon offers a vibrant mix of play, exploration and hands-on learning—with countless opportunities to try new things, take on real projects and follow personal interests.
Children can choose from a wide range of engaging activities—from art, music, and theater to science, cooking, building and storytelling. Whether your child wants to dive into a passion, try something new, or simply spend more time with friends in a safe, nurturing space, there’s something here for everyone.
Families can also choose the schedule that works best for them, with flexible options to match your needs and your child’s rhythm.
We see our program as an extension of the school day and a hub for connection. Rooted in our community, grounded in relationships, and full of warmth and care, it’s a space where children feel known, safe and supported by both peers and educators.

Enrichment Classes
Some kids want to cook. Others want to code. At Schechter, they can do both—and so much more.
Each season, we offer a dynamic lineup of enrichment classes spanning art, athletics, STEM, performance, and beyond. Classes vary each term, but always reflect student interests and instructor excellence.

Afterschool Hour & Extended Day

Schechter’s Extended Day offers a flexible, nurturing space where kids can wind down in their own way—through crafts, outdoor play, homework help, baking and more. With caring staff and a relaxed atmosphere, it’s a joyful and supportive end to the day.
Schechter’s afterschool care offers students a warm, familiar space to relax, recharge, and choose their own adventure. Some days that means crafts or outdoor games. Other days it’s homework help, cozy corners, or baking in the kitchen.
Afterschool Hour (until 4 p.m.) offers structured play, creative time, and study hall
Extended Day (until 6 p.m.) includes rotating activities like STEM, art, and cooking
Drop-in care is available for occasional needs
Music Lessons
Grades Pre-K–8 | On campus, Monday–Thursday
If your child dreams in song, we’re here to help them grow their voice—literally.
Students can take private lessons in piano, guitar, ukulele, violin, drums or voice. Lessons take place right after school, with instructors who bring both expertise and encouragement.
