Schechter Alumni
Friendships, values, and memories for life
“My Schechter People” Is a Real Thing
Schechter’s story began in 1961 with a bold vision and a handful of pioneering families. Today, our 2,000+ alumni are educators, entrepreneurs, scientists, artists, parents, and proud Schechter graduates whose lives still reflect the confidence and values nurtured here.
Across decades and distances, one thing endures: the deep connection Schechter alumni feel to each other. We hear it all the time: “I’m still in touch with my Schechter people.” From wedding parties and group texts to networking events and friendships that span generations, these relationships last.
Throughout the year, we host alumni reunions and offer micro grants to promote class gatherings. Many alumni also return as parents—joining us for community programming and continuing the legacy in the most meaningful way.
