Why people love working at Schechter
Coming to Schechter felt like coming home to a big, extended family.
I love the infectious positivity and enthusiasm for discovery.
I love working in a collaborative work environment to create a safe learning environment for students and teachers.
I love the sense of community at Schechter! This staff is so supportive and collaborative, and so are the students.
As a teacher and alumnus, I love being a part of the incredible teaching community that created my foundation for learning and Jewish life. Schechter was a hugely positive and impactful time in my life, and it’s humbling to be a part of that time for others.
What I love most about Schechter is that it has become my extended family, who have stood by me in the good and bad times of my life.
I am not sure a better job could exist in the world—I am working for the school that was a critical part of my own childhood and forming my own Jewish identity, I get to work with the best possible colleagues on the planet and I am helping to nurture and develop our future Jewish adults to take on the world. I am so lucky!
The kids, the community, my colleagues! It is too hard to pick just one aspect that I love. Schechter is such an amazing place because it feels like home.
I like that, within the bounds of the curriculum, teachers are free to teach in a way that best suits their students’ learning styles and abilities.
Schechter has an amazingly inclusive and supportive culture.
My favorite thing about working at Schechter is the vibrancy and supportive nature of the community. I love that I am able to express my Jewish identity in a way that is authentic and meaningful to me. I love that I have the opportunity to collaborate with others and create creative lessons. Perhaps most importantly, I know that I can count on the community to be there for me and my family.
I love giving back to the community that made me who I am!
I pride myself on the relationships that I am able to form with students and families. The feeling of community that I receive from being here is second to none. It fills my bucket!
