Being part of a community is a powerful, essential feeling. It isn’t just having everyone know your name (although it IS that!), but also the knowledge that you are part of something, part of a group of people who “do life” together. It means you have a dependable, bonded, interconnected, empathetic group of friends and families who have all made this same, important decision in their lives to be part of the Schechter community.

Schechter is where your whole family will develop friends who will take you through joyous milestones, swoop in to support you in loss and sickness, meet you on a sunny afternoon at the park or respond immediately to a text because you’re going to be late for pick-up and need someone to bring your kids home. Each student and parent and family is complex and unique while overlapping with so many others, in so many ways. Different and similar as we may be, we have each other’s backs.

Our strong social infrastructure includes a tireless Parent Association, robust Hesed Committee and buddy family system that complement the faculty and staff’s commitment to your child’s success. Throughout the year, we sponsor learning opportunities for grandparents, alumni networking panels, family hikes and community service days, social gatherings and so much more.

Whether you are a parent, member of our alumni community, grandparent or friend, we are eager to connect with you! We invite you to learn more about our Parent Association, alumni network and grandparent engagement opportunities.
