Middle School Science Teacher (Full Time)

The specific grade level of the position will be determined based on need later this spring. 

Job Description:

Both independently and in collaboration with the STEM team, our Science teacher will:

  • Design, plan and implement inquiry oriented Science lessons that motivate students and create active, phenomena-based learning experiences.
  • Prepare and implement differentiated instruction, activities and assessments that meet the needs of every student. 
  • Build relationships with all students, so they are actively engaged in the classroom activities
  • Create and maintain a safe, well-structured physical environment that is conducive to student learning.
  • Participate in ongoing cycles of reflection, both independently and in collaboration with colleagues.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in science-related field required.
  • Minimum of two years experience teaching students, preferably in a middle school setting.
  • Exemplary teaching skills.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.

Pay & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary; commensurate with experience up to $102,000
